Regina Police have arrested a 17-year-old boy in connection to an impaired driving incident in the city’s northwest area.

Police were called to the corner of Ritchie Street and Milne Street North on Saturday night, just before midnight, where the driver of a vehicle allegedly hit a parked car and then fled the scene on foot, leaving an injured woman inside of the vehicle. She was taken to hospital, but was later released with minor injuries.

Police then located the teenaged boy fleeing the scene and made an arrest.

The boy, who can’t be named due to his age, faces an impaired driving charge, as well as failure to stop after an accident causing bodily harm. His first court appearance will take place at the end of July.
