YWCA Regina has launched their annual Say Yes! Fundraising campaign aimed at raising funds to support their current community initiatives.

Senior director of development Chelsey Lemke says it’s a critical fundraiser.

“It provides funding for most of our key areas such as our outreach area, our women’s shelters, our children’s homes, and the majority of our community programming.”

Lemke says that includes three women’s shelters, one domestic violence shelter and a supportive housing residence, all in Regina.

“We offer a wide variety of community programs, everything from our children exposed to violence programming to big sisters, and that’s all supported through the Say Yes! Campaign.”

Lemke says the fundraising campaign has been running for five years.

“Last year, we took the campaign more public,” Lemke said. “We did some social media, we reached out to all of our volunteers, friends, family, supporters, and we were able to raise $104,000.”
