The RCMP Major Crime Unit is investigating an incident at a Yorkton nursing home that resulted in the death of a 91-year-old man.

In a release. RCMP say two men got into an alleged altercation in a room at the nursing home on May 28.  When a staff member entered the room, the 91-year-old was found injured.  He was taken to hospital, but died two days later.

The death was considered suspicious in nature so the Major Crime Unit took the investigation over.

RCMP say the investigation will take time to complete and at this time no arrests have been made.
