Regina police looking for information on unknown man speaking with kids in park

Regina Police are hoping you can help them find a man who was seen interacting with kids in a northwest Regina park Sunday morning,

Police say a group of kids under the age of 12 were playing in Westhill Park between 10:30 and 11:00 a.m when it is alleged that an unknown man started asking questions to a child before trying to lead him away from the park.   Another child intervened and took the child away with the suspect walking away.  The group of kids returned home to tell their families what had happened prompting a call.

The suspect is described as approximately 40 years old, wearing a black coat and big, black sunglasses.

None of the children were physically harmed, but out of concern for the safety of the children, the Regina Police Service wants to make the community aware of the event. At this point, it is unclear what the man’s intentions were and police would like to learn more about the event through assistance from the public.  Anyone having seen this individual in the area where the incident occurred Sunday morning is asked to call RPS.
