Royal Saskatchewan Museum set to reopen

Sunday is a big day for the Royal Saskatchewan Museum as it swings its doors open once again.

Museum spokesperson Sarah Schaefer says it will be great to start seeing visitors.

“There is so much excitement.” Schaefer said. “Scotty roars again and we can’t wait to hear it.  It’s been very quiet in the building so we can’t wait to hear the sounds of people back in the building.

Schaefer says an online reservation system is now in use for you to book your visit as there are capacity restrictions still in place as a maximum of 30 people can be inside.

Along with the new reservation system, the Royal Saskatchewan Museum website has been refreshed with a brand new look and layout and has been updated to reflect current offerings, background on the renowned scientists and research team and upcoming attractions.

Returning guests will notice work on the new exhibit, Home: Life in the Anthropocene is still underway with a planned unveiling in April, 2022.

The museum will be open seven days a week from 9:45 a.m, to 5 p.m.
