103 new cases of COVID-19 in Sask; 229 recoveries

There are 103 new cases of COVID-19 in Saskatchewan, bringing the provincial total to 45,709 cases.  

The highest new case numbers come from Saskatoon with 34, the North West with 18, and Regina with 14.

Recoveries total 43,645 and 1,537 cases are considered active.

There are 133 people in hospital. 105 people are receiving inpatient care, and 28 people are in intensive care.

The seven-day average of new COVID-19 case number is 142.

An additional 6,466 doses of COVID-19 vaccine have been given in Saskatchewan, bringing the total number of vaccines administered in the province to 662,854.

Those 80-years-of-age and older, or anyone who received their first dose on or before March 1 are now eligible for their second dose of COVID-19 vaccine.
