116 new cases of COVID-19 in Sask; One additional death

There are 116 new cases of COVID-19 in Saskatchewan, bringing the provincial total to 45,605 cases. 

One new death is reported today in the 80+ age group from the South East zone.

Notable case counts come from Saskatoon with 41, the Central East with 18, and Regina with 17.

Recoveries total 43,416 and 1,662 cases are considered active.

There are 124 people in hospital. 97 people are receiving inpatient care, and 27 people are in intensive care.

The seven-day average of new COVID-19 case number is 152.

An additional 11,004 doses of COVID-19 vaccine have been given in Saskatchewan, bringing the total number of vaccines administered in the province to 656,388.
