180 new cases of COVID-19 in Sask; Two new deaths

There are 180 new cases of COVID-19 in Saskatchewan, bringing the provincial total to 45,490 cases.

Two new deaths are reported today.  One death was reported in the 50-59 age group and one death was in the 80+ age group, both from the South Central zone.

The newest case numbers include 54 in Saskatoon, 23 in the North Central, 22 in the North West, and 19 in Regina.

Recoveries total 43,194 and 1,770 cases are considered active.

There are 120 people in hospital. 93 people are receiving inpatient care, and 27 people are in intensive care.

The seven-day average of new COVID-19 cases is 160.

An additional 14,801 doses of COVID-19 vaccine have been given in Saskatchewan, bringing the total number of vaccines administered in the province to 645,384.
