Rainfall totals show Yellow Grass with biggest precipitation

Environment Canada says Yellow Grass in southeast Saskatchewan had the largest amount of rainfall over the past 2 days at 75 millimeters or 3 inches.

Regina had 27 millimeters.

The weather office indicates many communities had around 25 millimeters or about an inch of rain including Weyburn, Cypress Hills, Yorkton, Assiniboia, Broadview and Indian Head.

Fort Qu’Appelle had 52 millimeters or two inches of rain.

Snowfall amounts totalled 17 centimeters in Maple Creek and Shaunavon, while Swift Current and Mankota had 5 centimeters of snow.

Farmers had been hoping for moisture of any kind because of drought-like conditions across most of the grainbelt.

The forecast calls for more moisture in many parts of the province in the coming week.
