SaskPower says significant progress has been made toward repairing the damaged transmission line that serves customers north of Prince Albert and the estimated time for the power to be back on is around 2 p.m on Thursday afternoon.
Originally around 9,000 customers were without service because of power line damage from the Cloverdale fire, but as of Wednesday morning, power had been restored between Spruce Home and Christopher Lake leaving 8,000 customers still without power, as far north as La Ronge.
A news release from SaskPower says crews and equipment were able to safely get in to the area where the power lines were damaged Wednesday morning and will continue to work until power is restored.
