Regina Police are looking for a suspect after a bear spray incident on Monday

Police are looking for a suspect after a bear spray incident at a business in Regina on Monday.

Officers were called to the business on the 900 block of Albert Street shortly after 3:00 p.m.

The suspect had left the premises before police arrived, but staff members indicated a man entered the store a short time earlier and gathered up a large armful of clothing.

When a staff member approached to ask if he wanted to have the items carried to the cash register, the suspect pulled out a canister of what was believed to be bear spray, and sprayed the employee in the face.

He then dropped the items he was carrying and then fled the scene.

The suspect is described as being about 5’ 7” tall, thin, wearing dark shorts, a sleeveless black shirt, a ball cap and glasses.

He also had headphones and was carrying a backpack.

Anyone with more information is asked to call Regina Police or Crime Stoppers.
