Many weather records smashed in Saskatchewan on Tuesday

With the forecast calling for snow in some areas of Saskatchewan over the next few days, Environment Canada is telling us about heat records set on Tuesday.

The thermometer got well over 30 degrees in many places across Saskatchewan with 20 areas setting a new record for the warmest May 18th.

Nipawin was one of those communities as they were the provincial hot spot at 33 degrees breaking the old record set in 2010.  Others breaking a record include Assiniboia, Broadview, Melfort, Moose Jaw, Saskatoon, Swift Current, Waskesiu, Watrous and Yorkton.

Regina hit a high of 31.7 degrees which tied the record set in 2010.
