Attendance at province’s outdoor graduation ceremonies set at 150

Graduation guidelines are being updated by the government as the province nears the Step One reopening date of May 30.

As of that date, outdoor ceremonies can happen with up to 150 people including graduates and guests can be held. This does not include teachers and staff that will help in the event.

When Step Two of the provincial roadmap to reopening campaign begins, indoor ceremonies with up to 150 grads and guests will be allowed. The earliest this could happen is June 20 as it would be three weeks after Step One in the plan goes into effect.

Step Two will only begin once 70 percent of those over 30 have received their first COVID-19 vaccine. As of today’s numbers, that number stood at 68 percent.
