Regina man facing 15 firearm-related charges after Sunday night incident

A 27-year-old Regina man is in court Monday facing gun-related charges after an incident Sunday night.

In a release from Regina Police, they say officers were responding to an unrelated call when they saw a man exiting a home with a gun on the 1000 block of Garnet Street.  The officers followed the man where the suspect took off on foot with a shot allegedly being fired.

A perimeter was set up and the suspect was taken into custody.

Brian Glen Thorn-Bitternose has been charged with  recklessly discharging a firearm, possession of a firearm knowing its possession is unauthorized, careless storage of a firearm and 12 counts of possession of a firearm or ammunition contrary to prohibition order.
