Regina Public Schools looking to hold in-person graduations at Mosaic Stadium

After Regina Public School Division announced they are working on holding in-person graduation ceremonies for nine high schools at the end of June at Mosaic Stadium, the Regina Exhibition Association says they are looking forward to hopefully making some memories.

REAL President and CEO Tim Reid says a lot still needs to come together.

“The graduates have to decide if this is what they want to do, the school divisions have to decide that they want to advance,” said Reid. “And I think everybody has to be comfortable that the numbers that are allowed to attend make financial sense for the graduates and the school division.”

The current guidelines for outdoor gatherings is listed at 30, but the provincial government is slated to update guidelines for graduation ceremonies on May 17th.

There’s no word on whether or not other school divisions will be attempting something similar.
