Farmers market hoping for business as usual Saturday

The Regina Farmers Market is getting ready for its first Saturday session, but organizers are worried about the market being disrupted as another anti-public health order rally is set for Victoria Park Saturday afternoon.

Farmers Market spokesperson Holly Laird says Regina police will be at the market.

“It sounds like they will be in attendance, but they usually are.” Laird said. “We just hope things don’t coincide with what we are trying to do at the market.”

Laird says she has been receiving messages about the rally all week that will feature Maxime Bernier and Chris Sky who spoke at a rally a couple of weeks ago.

She is hoping no problems come up and that everyone who comes to the market whether it be as a vendor or customer can do what they normally do.
