295 new COVID-19 cases; one new death

The province is reporting 295 new COVID-19 infections.  With 237 recoveries also being announced, the active case count now stands at 2,239.  210 new variants of concern have also been identified.

The new cases are located in the following zones: Far North West, 2; Far North East, 5; North West, 33; North Central, 17; North East, 9; Saskatoon, 98; Central West, 1; Central East, 10; Regina, 68; South West, 9; South Central, 7; and South East, 32

One person in their 70`s from the southwest zone has died thus becoming the 502nd person in Saskatchewan to die as a result of the virus.

There are 174 people in hospital.  38 of those 174 are in intensive care including 20 in Regina.

The seven-day daily average now sits at 221.

On the vaccine front, 10,53o were delivered on Thursday with Regina and Saskatoon accounting for over half of that total.
