Kamsack RCMP investigating after man seriously injured in violent assault and break and enter

Kamsack RCMP say four people have been charged after a man was seriously injured during a break and enter and assault took place at a residence on the Cote First Nation early Sunday morning.

Police were called to the scene around 1:00 a.m. where they found the victim inside the home, EMS took him to hospital with serious injuries.

After further investigations, RCMP say four suspects were arrested later the same morning at a business in Kamsack.

Nineteen-year-old Phoenix Shingoose has been charged with, break ,enter and committing aggravated assault, he’ll be in court May 11.

Eighteen-year-old Sidney Rogers is also charged with break enter and committing  aggravated assault, and will appear in court on Wednesday.

Eighteen-year-old Jamie Quewezance faces the same charges and will be in court Thursday.

A 17-year-old boy was also charged with the same offences, but can’t be named due to his age. He’ll be in court May 18.

RCMP say the investigation is ongoing, and are asking anyone with more information contact their local police department or Crime Stoppers.

The victims name was not made public.
