Traffic stop in Regina results in drug and weapons charges for trio

A traffic stop on Monday in Regina resulted in drug and weapons charges for three adults.

Regina police stopped a Ford F-150 truck without a license plate at around 3:30 a.m. off the 1900 block of Montreal Street. Members located a handgun in a dog kennel in the cab of the truck when speaking to the driver.

Officers arrested 40-year-old Richard Desnomie, 22-year-old Tyrine Desnomie-Creely and 21-year-old Brooklyn Saint for a weapons offence. A thorough search of the truck resulted in officers finding crack cocaine, methamphetamine and fentanyl. A digital scale, packaging and a loaded handgun were also discovered.

Saint, Desnomie and Desnomie-Creely face various trafficking and weapons-related charges among other offences. They all made their first court appearances on Monday afternoon.
