Johnson & Johnson vaccines to arrive in Saskatchewan Tuesday

The first shipment of Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccines are in Canada, and the expectation is they will be in Saskatchewan around Tuesday.

Minister of Health Paul Merriman says under 10,000 will be in the province.

“I’ve been told by the federal government that we’re expecting around 9,300,” Merriman said. “These are single-dose vaccines; one shot and you’re fully vaccinated, so this is encouraging that we can do over 9,00 people next week through our drive-thru’s in the major centres and get them fully vaccinated.”

Merriman added that the Regina and Saskatoon drive-thru’s will receive people from the priority groups and qualification on an age basis.
