Regina police recover drugs and money in trafficking bust

Two individuals have been charged after police seized drugs, money and equipment involved in illegal drug trafficking within Regina.

Members of the Regina Police Service Drug Unit executed three search warrants on April 18, including an Airbnb in the Harbour Landing neighbourhood, a hotel room in downtown Regina and one vehicle.

Among the items investigators located, which support drug trafficking, are:

  • Approximately 2,000 grams of methamphetamine;
  • 250 grams of fentanyl;
  • 200 grams of cocaine;
  • $41,000 in currency;
  • digital scales; and
  • multiple cell phones.

Police arrested 36-year-old Lilsimon Both of Saskatoon and 23-year-old Deng Garang of Winnipeg, Manitoba. They face multiple charges including possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine, fentanyl and methamphetamine.
