Biggar man facing charges after getting out of his handcuffs at RCMP detachment

A 20-year-old man from Biggar faces 19 charges after an incident at the town’s RCMP detachment.

Jordy Leschinski allegedly got out of his handcuffs after being arrested on Sunday before fleeing from the station and heading towards the hospital.

He is also accused of allegedly pointing a firearm at someone and using a vehicle as a weapon.

Leschinski was in North Battleford court Tuesday morning and remains in custody until another appearance later this week to see if he should be released on bail.
