8-year-old boy in hospital after being hit by car in city’s North end

On Friday night, just after 5:30 pm, Regina Police responded to a collision between a vehicle and a pedestrian on the 5900 block of Dalgliesh Drive.

Investigation determined the vehicle was heading westbound when an 8-year-old boy chased a ball into the street. The vehicle was unable to stop in time and struck the boy.

Regina EMS transported the boy to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

No charges have been laid at this time, and the investigation is ongoing.
