Meadow Lake RCMP are looking for suspects in connection to an attempted murder that took place in the community just before midnight on Tuesday.

RCMP were called to a business on First Avenue in Meadow Lake where two separate groups of people got into an altercation that led to shots being fired multiple times.

One of the shots hit the windshield of a vehicle where an innocent bystander was seated. The victim was not injured in the incident. It is believed there are five suspects in this case, and all of them fled the scene either on foot or in their vehicles.

Meadow Lake RCMP believe this could be related to street gang activity. Anyone with more information is asked to contact their local RCMP detachment or Crime Stoppers.
