Weather still causing highway issues around Regina

While the situation weather-wise is not as bad as it was earlier Tuesday,  road conditions around Regina are still not ideal.

RCMP say east of the city, members of the Indian Head detachment are on the scene of multiple collisions on the Trans-Canada highway.  No injuries have been reported.

A jack-knifed semi three miles east of Wolseley has the eastbound lane of the Trans-Canada completely blocked which has resulted in a lengthy backup of vehicles with delays of up to three to four hours expected  Due to dangerous road conditions, officers can not re-route traffic at this time.  With the roads being the way they are, officers may not be able to get you our location right away so traffic is not recommended.

West of the city, White Butte RCMP say they responded to a report of a semi that had jack-knifed across both westbound lanes of Highway 1 just west of the Grand Coulee exit.  The road was cleared around noon.

At this time, the Trans-Canada is closed to traffic between Balgonie and Broadview.

Those needing to travel where conditions are not ideal are asked to check the Highway Hotline before going out.
