Regina man charged for manufacturing firearms

The Regina Police Service has charged a Regina man who was manufacturing firearms in a home in the Mount Royal area of the city.

Forty-year-old Harvey Fedyk faces a number of firearms charges as a result of an investigation on April 8, which included members of SWAT. His charges include manufacture firearms, unauthorized possession of a prohibited firearm and careless storage of a prohibited firearm.

Search warrants were executed on April 8 at the residence, detached garage, camper, vehicle and a utility trailer. Fedyk was found exiting the garage and was taken into custody by SWAT members.

Investigators located more than 90 firearm parts and at least two fully-functioning firearms, which had been made by Fedyk. Police found other tools that were used to manufacture firearms and instructions for firearm manufacturing.

Fedyk made his first court appearance on April 9.
