Raven Industries of Sioux Falls, South Dakota is expanding its high tech farm equipment.

Raven industries purchased the Saskatchewan robotic farm equipment line of Dot industries this past year.

This week Raven announced it has purchased all of the intellectual property and patents of Jaybridge Robotics, an early developer of automated agriculture technology.

Raven says Jaybridge has critical patents for technology directly related to path-planning, obstacle detection and avoidance, and multi-machine control systems.

Raven will leverage this techology with the continued development of Driverless Ag Technology, including integration of Raven’s AutoCart platform.

Raven says the acquisition will accelerate the development of automation for farm equipment applications.
