It was a busy afternoon for the Regina Fire Department as they had to deal with a pair of grass fires on the eastern outskirts of the city.
Regina Fire along with crews from Pilot Butte and White City were called out to fight the flames on what were bone-dry fields just east of the CTV studios on Highway 1.
Crews are battling a large grass fire just east of the city, off Highway 1. The fire looks to still be burning in some areas. No official cause has been determined. #yqr #fire pic.twitter.com/KQMgmNqdKJ

While an exact cause is not known, it is believed some sparks coming off a train is to blame.
