Grain market analyst Neil Townsend anticipates wheat prices could jump 25 to 30 cents a bushel in coming weeks.
Townsend, of FarmLink Marketing Solutions, says dry weather in important wheat growing areas of the U.S. and Western Canada and ongoing strong global demand could push wheat prices further upward.
Townsend, says strong demand from southeast Asia and concern about dryness in North America are pushing up wheat markets.
Townsend says farmers should be able to sell spring wheat in the range of $7.50 to $7.75 a bushel.
