Regina Police have arrested two men in connection to a drug trafficking incident that took place Monday night in the city’s east end.

Officers were called to the 1900 block of Rupert Street, near the Ring Road overpass over Victoria Avenue, where police attempted to make a traffic stop. The vehicle didn’t actually stop until the 800 block of the North Service Road.

The driver of the vehicle did not have a license at the time of the incident, and the passenger was the subject of an outstanding warrant. After both were arrested, police searched the vehicle and seized the following items:

  • Several knives and a hatchet,
  • Three cellphones,
  • Whitish-green powder substance,
  • “Dime” bags containing fentanyl and cocaine,
  • “Dime” bags containing psilocybin (magic mushrooms), and
  • Other paraphernalia associated to drug trafficking.

31-year-old Bradley Jerome and 28-year-old Travis Buffalo are jointly charged with possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and possession of a scheduled substance for the purpose of trafficking.

Both men appeared in court Tuesday morning.
