An eight vehicle collission on the Trans-Canada Highway yesterday afternoon during that storm has resulted in a fatality.

RCMP say a 22-year-old truck driver from Calgary was declared dead at the scene after the vehicle he was in was part of a chain reaction after a passenger van and a semi hit on another on the highway about four kilometers west of Chaplin around 2:15.

Another truck driver suffered minor injuries.
