Reginans will be able to fly directly to Kelowna this summer with those in Saskatoon being able to go straight to Kelowna or Victoria.
WestJet has announced that starting June 24, direct flights will be offered twice a week from Regina and Saskatoon to Kelowna with direct flights also being offered to Victoria out of Saskatoon.
The announcement is part of a bigger one from the airline that sees 11 new domestic routes across Western Canada being established.
As we look to the coming months with cautious optimism, we know our restart agenda will be pivotal to Canada’s economic recovery,” said Ed Sims, WestJet President and CEO in a release. “Stimulating air travel benefits all Canadians and supports those hardest hit; with one in every 10 Canadian jobs tied to travel and tourism, the ripple effect benefits our whole country.”
The flights will go on Thursdays and Sundays.
This announcement is made after one earlier this month where Air Canada said it would be offering direct routes from Regina to Montreal.
