Three people arrested after trying to sell stolen property online

Three people have been charged after an investigation by the Regina Police Service’s Online Stolen Property Unit.

On Wednesday afternoon, around 1:10 pm, RPS confirmed that two people- one man and one woman- stole property from a local hardware store. Approximately one hour later, the stolen items were posted for sale online.

That same day, the pair went to the same hardware store and stole additional property, and once again posted the items for sale online 30 minutes later.

At around 8:40 pm, RPS arrested the pair for stealing the property. They later executed a search warrant on a home on the 1500 block of 12th Avenue North, where they found the stolen property as well as other brand-new items.

As a result, 57-year-old Vincent Anthony Vandekamp has been charged with trafficking property obtained by crime over $5000, and possession of property obtained by crime for the purpose of trafficking.

31-year-old Alexis Allison Helen McKay, and 27-year-old Connor Nechiporenko have both been charged with trafficking property obtained by crime over $5000.

All three suspects will make their first appearance in court on August 18th.
