Regina Police charge 24-year-old with numerous weapons offences

Regina Police say a 24-year-old man is facing a number of weapons charges after pointing what was later discovered to be an airsoft gun at someone.

Officers were called to the 400 block of McIntyre Street around 4:30 p.m. Thursday afternoon, where investigation revealed the victim came across the suspect in a backyard when the weapon was pointed at them before running from the scene.

Police located the suspect one block over and arrested him without further incident.

As a result 24-year-old Thomas Halpape has been charged with six offences including, Possession of a Weapon, Pointing a Firearm, Carrying a Concealed Weapon, Uttering Threats.

Halpape will make his first court appearance this morning.
