Impaired driving charge laid after two vehicle accident in northwest Regina

A 41-year-old woman is facing impaired driving charges after a two vehicle collision in northwest Regina Sunday afternoon left another woman with serious injuries.

Around 5:45 p.m. police were called to 9th Avenue North and McIntosh Street, where an eastbound Ford Escape allegedly ran a red light and collided with a Chrysler 300 that was heading north.

A 40-year-old woman in the Chrysler, who’s name has not been released, was taken to hospital with serious injuries, two children, aged 11 and 12 were not hurt.

As a result 41-year-old Crystal Dawn Meed has been charged with Impaired Operation of a Conveyance by Alcohol, Drug, or a Combination of both.

Meed will make her first court appearance April 6th.
