Two Reginans charged in stolen vehicle, drug trafficking case

Police have charged two people from Regina involved in stealing a vehicle and being in possession of meth.

According to a statement from the Regina Police Service, officers located a BMW on Mar. 20 at around 10:30 p.m. driving on the 1000 block Angus Street that was reported stolen.

Police safely brought the vehicle to a stop in the area of 3rd Avenue North and Robinson Street where two occupants, 34-year-old Megan Rochelle Schuett and 42-year-old Jason Alvin Ursulan, were taken into custody without incident. Upon a search of the suspects, officers located two “significant” quantities of meth and other items connected to drug trafficking.

Ursulan has been charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking methamphetamine, possession of stolen property over $5,000 and breach of conditions. Schuett faces a charge of possession for the purpose of trafficking.

They both made their first court appearances on their respective charges on Monday morning.
