Another day of record-breaking weather

The last official day of winter felt more like mid-summer in many parts of Saskatchewan on Friday as temperatures crawled into the low 20’s with Moose Jaw being Canada’s hot spot.

Environment Canada says 27 places in the province set a new record for the warmest March 19th including Moose Jaw, Regina, Saskatoon, Indian Head, Weyburn, Swift Current, Rockglen, Assiniboia and Broadview.

In Regina, the high hit 20.9 degrees breaking the old record of 17.8 set back in 1910.

The first day of spring will bring double-digit highs as the temperature is to hit 10 degrees on Saturday, but we then see a cooldown with temperatures in the plus one to seven range.
