Regina Police say 24 COVID-19 tickets have been handed out with 16 of those in the last month-and-a-half

A break down of COVID-19 related tickets issued by Regina Police has been made public.

Since the pandemic started affecting Saskatchewan last March, 24 tickets have been issued by the Regina Police Service.

Of those 24, 16 alone have come since New Year’s Day.

Digging even deeper, police say six of those tickets were for not maintaining a self-isolation order, 17 were for -participation in a private or public gathering larger than the number allowed, and one fine was issued for a person refusing to wear a mask in a public space.

RPS. said the first ticket was issued on April 5th of last year and the most recent one was on Valentine’s Day.
