The University of Regina has confirmed to its students that their Spring Convocation will be held virtually.
The event was scheduled to take place in person June 9th-11th.
The school says COVID-19 remains a significant threat in the community, and even with vaccines being administered, it is unlikely health guidelines will change significantly in the next few months.
Plans for the celebration include a video and graduation package that will contain a commemorative program as well as the graduate’s degree, diploma, or certificate. Three honorary degree recipients will also be celebrated.
The U of R says more information will be sent to grads in the coming weeks.
