WEATHER ALERT: All of Sask. under an Extreme Cold Warning for a third straight day

For a third straight day, all of Saskatchewan is under an Extreme Cold Warning Wednesday, with no end to the deep freeze close in sight.

Wind chill values will be at least -40 C across much of the province again.

In Regina and Moose Jaw the five day forecast does not call for seasonal weather until Tuesday.

The reason for the dangerously cold temperatures and wind chill is still a stalled ridge of Arctic high pressure.

When the wind chill reaches -40 C, frostbite can occur in minutes on exposed skin.
