Woman given COVID-19 ticket following protest in Regina

A woman has been given a $2,800 ticket for not following COVID-19 protocols after a protest in Regina Saturday afternoon.

According to Police, approximately 50-60 people attended the protest. They say the event was peaceful and no arrests were made.

As of January 27, 2021, there were 17 tickets issued by the Regina Police Service under the Public Health Orders brought into effect during the pandemic. Saturday’s ticket brings the total to 18.
