Woman struck by vehicle in northwest Regina dies in hospital

A 74-year-old woman who was hit by a vehicle on Wednesday in Regina has passed away in hospital. The Regina Police Service shared on Thursday that the case has changed to a death investigation.

The incident happened just after 5:30 p.m. in the area of McIntosh Street North and Dalgliesh Drive in the city’s northwest end. Police learned that a woman was struck by a vehicle in the intersection. The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene.

She was transported to hospital by paramedics with serious injuries, however she passed away on Wednesday night in hospital. Police say her identity will not be released.

Officers have been in contact with the driver, but investigators have not drawn conclusions regarding the circumstances of the collision at this stage of the investigation.
