The 2021/22 Provincial Budget will be presented April 6th and kick off Spring Sitting of the Legislature

Premier Scott Moe announced Thursday morning that the 2021/22 provincial budget will be tabled on April 6.

That will also be the first day of the Spring Sitting of the Saskatchewan Legislature.

“The new budget will be the main focus of the spring sitting,” Moe said in a news release. “It will be a budget designed to see Saskatchewan through the rest of the pandemic and then into a strong economic recovery as we get more of our population vaccinated and life returns to normal.”

Moe added that this year’s budget will include important investments in health, education, infrastructure and economic recovery, while at the same time continuing to work toward the government’s commitment to balance the budget by 2024.

Spring sitting is expected to conclude in late May.
