The review of Rideau Hall’s workplace environment has been released to the public, and it does not paint a pretty picture of the former governor general.

It includes comments suggesting that Julie Payette’s abusive behavior created “a poisoned work environment.”

Workers reported that the former astronaut turned Queen’s representative was disrespectful and would make demeaning comments tinged with a sense of public humiliation.

Payette stepped down last Thursday, about a week after the government first received the less-than-flattering report.
