Moose Jaw ratifies new deal with UNIFOR Transit employees

The City of Moose Jaw says it has ratified a new deal with UNIFOR Transit workers in the city.

In a news release, it says a tentative agreement was reached on December 20th, with UNIFOR members voting in favour on January 12th.

Moose Jaw City Council then ratified the new deal at Monday’s City Council meeting.

The previous deal expired back in December of 2018.

In addition to benefit enhancements, the City says the new agreement calls for pay raises of 1.5% on January 1st, 2020, 1.5% on January 1st, 2021 and 1.75% on January 1st, 2022.

UNIFOR Local 101R represents 18 City of Moose Jaw Transit employees.
