One more person from Saskatchewan has died from COVID-19, bringing the death toll up to 254.

The resident was over the age of 80 and lived in the north central zone.

The province also announced 240 new cases of COVID-19:

-49 in Saskatoon
-42 in Regina
-36 in the North East zone
-33 in the North West zone
-30 in the Central East zone
-17 in the Far North West zone
-12 in the North Central zone
-Six in the South East zone
-Five in the Central West zone
-Three in the Far North East zone
-Two in the Far North Central zone
-Two in the South Central zone

Three cases are still pending residence location.

The seven-day average for daily new cases is 265.

217 more recoveries were also announced. The active case count is now at 3,272.

202 people are in hospital with COVID-19, including 32 patients in ICU.

A total of 493,132 COVID-19 tests have been administered in the province to date.

Vaccines:

The province also announced 304 doses of COVID-19 vaccines that were administered Sunday.

Extra doses of the vaccine are being used at vaccination sites, meaning the province has actually issued 102 percent of the doses they have received so far.

The doses were issued in Saskatoon (149), Far North Central (11), Far North East (11), and North West (133). An additional 10 doses previously not reported were administered in the far north central.

A total of 33,353 doses of the vaccine have been administered, including 29,640 first doses and 3,713 second doses.
