Extreme cold warning issued for Regina

Some very cold wind chills are expected across the central part of the province over the next few days.

With temperatures hovering in the minus 30s, wind chill values are expected to reach minus 40 or colder this morning, with temperatures improving slightly late this morning.

The extreme cold will return for some areas later tonight into tomorrow, however some areas are expected to be warmer as a result of cloud cover.

Environment Canada is reminding people of the dangers of extreme cold, adding frostbite can develop within minutes.
