Second man charged in Regina’s second homicide

Regina Police have charged a second person in connection with the city’s second homicide of 2021.

A 39-year-old man was charged with second-degree murder in the killing of 30-year-old Jeffrey Gerald Lehto. A second person now faces the same charge.

The investigation began as an assault case just before  9:00 am on Tuesday when police to a call of an injured man on the 1700 block of Quebec Street. When they arrived, they found a man who had sustained serious injuries. He later died in hospital.

47-year-old Harvey Vince Huntinghawk has been charged with second-degree murder.

Huntinghawk will make his first court appearance Friday afternoon.
