Arrests made in Regina’s first homicide of 2021

Regina Police have arrested four people in connection to the homicide that took place Saturday morning on the 700 block of Athol Street.

38-year-old Amber Wood was found severely injured in the home and was taken to hospital by EMS, but died a short time later.

The RPS Major Crimes Unit, along with other police resources, have been able to arrest a total of four suspects. Charges are pending for two of the suspects, who remain in custody.

Meanwhile, 29-year-old Justin Englot and 25-year-old Jayden Sanford are charged with accessory after the fact to murder and possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000.

Both suspects who are facing charges appeared in court Tuesday morning.
