Regina company charged after snowmobile workplace fatality

A workplace fatality from 2018 has resulted in fines of $35,000 for a Regina company.

The charges are from an incident that happened on February 14, 2018 near Pilot Butte when an employee with Alsport Sales was fatally injured after being thrown from a snowmobile.

Alsport Sales pleaded guilty to one count under the Occupational Health and Safety Regulations following the accident.

The company was fined $25,000 plus a surcharge of $10,000. Three other charges were withdrawn.
